Fundación Educacional Impulsa

Fundación Educacional Impulsa was created in 2012, under the commitment of educating, guiding and leading people with low income, to contribute to their cultural, spiritual and overall development.
The first step to achieve this commitment was the construction of Colegio Ayelén’s infrastructure, during 2014. This charter school opened its doors in March 2015 and has become an educational and social development model in Rancagua city.

The school provides free, first level education to low income family’s children. Its no selection admission system is based on the principle that all children have enormous capacities and potential, so anyone can became architect of their own future. Revolutionary educational methods allow these students acquire the academic knowledge and soft skills that will let them achieve a successful college career, obtaining the tools they need to graduate as the best technicians and professionals. The most important tools that Ayelén gives to their students are the values that the school promotes, which are Joy, Passion, Excellence and Brotherhood.
Coelgio Ayelén´s staff, a highly prepared group of professionals, and its infrastructure permit their students’ development in diverse activities and disciplines. Its infrastructure, of 7.000 m2, was designed and implemented by the renowned Pritzker Prize winning architect, Alejandro Aravena. It currently educates 800 students, from Pre-K to 5th grade, 9th and 10th grades, as projection is in 2019 there will be 1.200 students. By then, Colegio Ayelén will be operating at full capacity.
Colegio Ayelén currently has a number of agreements with natural persons and legal entities that support its cause and, together, aim to establish high educational and cultural expectations for VI region’s families.
